Kristen is a native of western North Carolina. She earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology/Criminology from Appalachian State University in 2004. Immediately after receiving her undergraduate degree, she enrolled at Regent University, where she earned her law degree in 2007. That same year, she was licensed to practice law in North Carolina and began her practice in Estate Planning. She has presented at hundreds of estate planning seminars in North Carolina. In addition to Estate Planning, she has experience in and has practiced Family Law and Criminal Law. She joined Kirk, Kirk, Howell, Cutler & Thomas in July of 2010. She has been admitted to practice in Federal Law in the Eastern District of North Carolina. She is member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Wake County Bar. She is equipped with the experience to represent clients with domestic, estate planning and criminal matters; however, her passion is the practice of Criminal Law.
She is married and in addition to being active in her community, she enjoys sporting events, outdoor activities and traveling back to Western North Carolina to visit with her family.
