Our law firm’s mediation and alternative dispute resolution division is headed up by Joe Howell, who was first certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission as a Superior Court Mediator in 2000.  Joe’s mediator philosophy has been honed by his trial experience and years of participation with his own clients in the mediation process. That experience helps Joe quickly identify the core issues of a dispute, allowing him and the parties time to work on resolving the case instead of educating the mediator.  Joe brings a dogged determination to every mediation he conducts to try and bring it to a successful conclusion.  “I’ve been involved as a litigant in too many mediations where I felt the mediator just gave up trying.  When I’m mediating a case, I simply won’t let that happen.”
